Cardiff Freedom Week – Nightclubs Prepare to Open from August 7th
Eighteen months on, Freedom Week is finally upon us.
Walesโ first minister Mark Drakeford has given the nightlife industry the green light to open their doors for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic swept Wales. The announcement, made during a press conference on July 14th, came as a sigh of relief for many after over a year of being cooped up inside with ever-changing restrictions to our freedoms. And now, amongst all of the changing rules across the four nations, Wales finally has a set date for us to be free and dance- and for all of your favourite nights out to return.
Move Together have compiled all of these events into Freedom Week, with at least one event on every single day for seven days following August 7th. (Letโs face it- after a year of being locked inside, we have a lot of partying to make up for.)
Freedom Week starts with a bang at PRYZM for The First Dance, beginning at exactly 00:00 when the restrictions are eased. The line-up sees the highly-anticipated return of some of Cardiffโs best weekly events such as Quids In, Fix, Bring on the Night and Mint Sundays as well as Cardiffโs very first Rewind, a weekly throwback night at Walkabout. Special guests include rapper S1MBA featuring at the re-launch of Mode at Revolution as well as Too Hot To Handle’s Cam and Emily hosting the return of TNT at Walkabout.
Saturday – Rewind Saturdays Launch Night @ Walkabout (Tickets: https://bit.ly/3idMCI5)
Tickets are available here on movetogether.uk and at pryzm.co.uk/club/cardiff for any events in PRYZM. You can also get more information on Freedom Week and stay updated with announcements here. Do not miss out on the first week of events, be a part of history!
So, Cardiff, are you ready to party?ย
